Project Summary
The Rotary Club of Barbados South sought to create of a well-equipped fully inclusive playground facility for all children with or without disabilities. At present, there are a few well equipped public playgrounds/facilities on the island for children with no disabilities but absolutely none for children with disabilities. The Inclusive Play project will create an extraordinary, barrier-free recreational facility where children with disabilities can develop essential skills for life and interact in a play environment with non-disabled children. The facility will include a recreational centre, a playground area with specialised equipment and a water feature.
