PAREDOS (Parent Education for Development in Barbados), was registered as charity #166 on 12th April 1989. The organisation was formed in 1965 on an informal basis in response to the needs for parenting skills identified by parents and concerned professionals in the community.
Project Summary
The donation will fund Community Parenting classes in each parish, six scholarships, staff training, provision of equipment and educational materials. The objectives are to increase the number of parents trained in effective parenting techniques, to strengthen the operations through the set-up of a resource centre and assist with educational scholarships particularly for children in disadvantaged situations.
