The Caribbean Policy Development Centre (CPDC) is a registered non-profit organisation established in 1991. CPDC serves as a regional umbrella NGO for organisations located across CARICOM and strong networking partnerships with organisations of persons with disabilities, artisans, micro entrepreneurs and human rights workers. Altogether, it serves seventeen regional, sub-regional and local NGOs in economic, social, and cultural areas in the Caribbean.
Project Summary
The project will be implemented by the Caribbean Policy Development Centre in Barbados and Grenada, through the Barbados Family Planning Association and Programme for Adolescent Mothers, targeting 75 young mothers.
This Donation from the Trust will aid in addressing some of the negative consequences of teen pregnancy. It is intended to have a long term impact on the life chances of mothers and their children by providing opportunities for their advancement through education.
