The Barbados Association of Drama Educators (BADE) was established on May 21, 2008 and became a registered charity #940 on July 17, 2012. Its membership consists of Teachers of Drama and Theatre Arts in secondary schools in Barbados and primarily, teachers who prepare students for the Caribbean Examinations Council Theatre Arts Examinations.
Project Summary
The Trust’s grant will provide the opportunity for the Association to host the Caribbean Secondary Schools’ Drama Festival. This cultural festival will be a one-week Festival, December 8-15, 2013 that brings together students and teachers from seven countries across the region. This Festival will provide an integration of students from across the Caribbean and an exchange of cultural ideologies and ideas through theatrical expression and other forms.
