Project Summary
Assistance from the Trust aided in the development of an Autism Programme in the BVI. With the implementation of the programme it is anticipated that a wide range of services required by persons with autism will be available in the Territory. Professionals, parents and caregivers will be given the requisite training to address the needs of these persons, thus enabling the Government of the Virgin Islands to fulfil its obligations in caring for persons with disabilities. Refurbishment of the Autism Centre will be a key project component.
