The West Dominica Children’s Federation is a member of the NGO Coalition for the Protection of Children and Youth. The Federation works on behalf of children in fifty (50) communities on the west coast of the Commonwealth of Dominica. Their aim is to build peaceful communities where children and youth can live in a safe community. The West Dominica Children’s Federation is committed to changing the socio-economic landscape for deprived, excluded and vulnerable children and families in Dominica.
Project Summary
This project seeks to target those who are unemployed, have lost their livelihoods or jobs due to Hurricane Maria in 2017 and who have no alternative means of income. The project will have an emphasis on assisting women and youth aged 18 years and up in specific communities on the west coast of the Island that were heavily affected by the Hurricane.
