The Cave Hill Campus of The University of the West Indies started in 1963 as the College of Arts & Sciences. The main campus is located on 47 acres of elevated scenic property overlooking the capital, Bridgetown.
Project Summary
The Campus adopted a Student Disability Policy in January 2014 and has developed procedures for implementing accommodations for Students with disabilities. The University seeks to address the needs of the persons who are physically challenged by providing them with a dedicated means of transportation to be able to easily access the facilities and other services in around the Campus.
The vehicle will be used to transport Students and Faculty on Campus who are disabled and Students will also be transported to medical care facilities in cases of emergencies when ambulances are unavailable. This Bus will also provide additional support to the Student Health Clinic at the Campus.
