The Barbados Association for the Blind and Deaf is a registered Charity which was established by Act of Parliament in 1957 with a mandate to look after the welfare of the blind, visually impaired and the hearing impaired in the society.
Project Summary
A contribution was made towards the redevelopment and extension of the Rehabilitation Services, the Upgrade of the Braille and Large Print Unit and the provision of an Enterprise Site License for JAWS (Job Access with Speech) – Screen reading software for the blind and visually impaired students.
