Cancer Support Services is a Charity (No. 316) which was founded and registered on 17 April 1996. The organisation is made up of an Executive Committee, a Board of Trustees and has a membership of 104 persons who work on a volunteer basis, visiting patients at home and in hospital and assisting with outreach and fundraising programmes.
Project Summary
The donation received from the Trust will allow Cancer Support Services to continue to address the fundamental needs of those affected by cancer, including patients and family members. Of particular interest are the children of the patients who have died or continue to suffer from cancer. Persons affected by cancer and their families will be provided with the required care and support thus enabling to have an acceptable quality of life and respect for their dignity.
